The renowned Lotus restoration specialists have built up an enviable reputation during their 10 years servicing the Lotus marque.

The company, started by Andrew Short in 1989, originally specialised in the sourcing and supply of OE spec components for all models of Lotus. Demand steadily increased requiring them to move from their first home a 10ft x 30ft caravan.

More space was required and so they moved in 1993 into their current 1500sq.ft. premises in Croston some 9 miles north of Southport following demand from their customers to expand their operation to incorporate their own workshops where they could apply their high standards to the repair, servicing and restoration of customers cars.

The workshops are constantly crammed with cars waiting for the attention from Andrew and his Staff, since then they have never looked back.

Jobs range from servicing and tuning to full restoration and race preparation for customers all over the world.

OUR WORKSHOPS ARE EQUIPPED TO CARRY OUT ALL TYPES OF RACE PREP INCLUDING ROLL CAGES CUSTOM MADE TO R.A.C. SPECIFICATIONS.

• Right from the start the Company has been supplying and developing a range of components for Lotus cars, the main benefactor of their many improvements has been the Lotus Europa for which the Company can offer an unprecedented range of parts from brake and suspension conversions to chassis and engine modifications.

• Over the years the Lotus Elan and Esprit have also come in for some BSS improvements and they now offer a range of suspension and brake conversions for both models; whilst for the Esprit they can also offer their proven Cosworth engine conversion - the Lotus Cosworth Esprit.

• Six years ago they moved to their current address and were finally able to offer workshop facilities to the many customers now demanding to have their cars attended to. The fully equipped workshops carry out all types of work from basic service to complete restoration and preparation.

• Just recently, they have opened their body shop complete with low bake spray facilities and can now carry out all types of  bodywork on their own premises.

• During their past 10 years in business BSS PARTS have been asked to wield the skills on all types of vehicles from standard road, sprint and race cars. Last year they were asked to paint and fit up a composite 2-seated plane for a customer -  ironicaly called "Europa".

• They really can now say  "we can make your Europa fly"
